Pronouncing Friedemann Findeisen like a Bad-Ass German | April Fools 2020
This was excellent, well done.
Just discovered this channel. Incredibly useful and concise information you provided in this video 👌 Excellent!
Im writing a rap album and sequenced it a couple days ago and watched this video and it has almost the exact structure you describe 😂. All that to say i definitely subscribed
any way we can get that melody writing guide mentioned?
What is the "powe word means" or where i can flund the video with the meaning
why isn't there a solo in your diagram
How do i learn this
Lover is not a good example of how to structure an album lol
Outliers
The moment before I discovered Deftones was the last time I really felt myself well.
8:35 I am new to this poly-stuff. But wouldnt this be a Polymetric instead of a polyrythm, as it only features Accents played differently, instead of two complete different rythms?
Hello! You haven’t posted in some months so I’m not sure if you’ll read this but I practice my songs every single day back to back repeatedly.. this is probably called the beyonce technique lol but I practice it so much let’s say about 100 times a day or every other day or 100 times total between two or three days.. I think this process is what makes me get bored of my song or tired of the lyrics so I hear a new instrumental and begin the next song writing process then I practice those lyrics 100x then the process starts all over again.. this is hard to explain but how would you go about this?
I think people miss the fact that Kurt played all his 'powerchords' with the same A major shape, so he was always playing them with his ring finger barred across, sometimes you would hear the extra notes to make it major, sometimes not. Its not something to overanalyse, its just sometimes hitting certain strings.
Thank you for this! I'd love to be considered for your freelance composer roster.
Andrea, i learnt a lot thanks
I think it could be more interesting to hear the sounds as you mention each music theory comment.
Yuck.
I hate tool!!!! >_<
A lot of songs I write or listen to go with intro hook verse bridge hook verse
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
insane ass video
This is why classic rock is so much better and no comparison to this pop crap. I'm all for her, but not a fan of her silly little girl music.
The waitlist botton doesnt work :/
As a Christan i find this being the best Christan music when you analyze it.
it's fine for some to deeply analyze all this, but it's actually all about simplicity and trial and error as far as his music writing was concerned. keep it simple & get the words to flow with the music
He’s so damn sexy.
noone ever talks about how long thom yorke can hold. anote. i feel like its too long for us to simply ignore. what is going on with thom yorke. is he a competitive diver?
Taylor Swift is the most boring and overrated "artist" ever. Her music is like plastic.
You just have a bad taste.
What an interesting process. It is hard to let people in, I agree. In all art, it is so easy to feel like a fraud, until you realize that the creative impulse is incredibly human. We do not need to be perfect or great, just create something interesting or at the least, unique. Well done.
padmaan
Music is all about intervals that create tension and resolution, everything wants to resolve to the root and when it happens it is satisfying. It is not rocket science.
I tried to get into the academy but the page is gone :(
Tool is a cow u can milk for eternity 😂 Nevertheless, thank u for creating this vid. It means much to me, Tool and those who feel how significantly deeper we can become by filling our thoughts with those ideas.
Remember, they didn’t really write Creep. It’s a pastiche of "The Air That I Breathe"
No she doesn't write her own song, maybe when she's still not famous, but now most of her songs are written by song writers whom she's paying, its only Bruno mars now among all the artist who you can trust that really write their own song, every other artists you always have a doubt if she/he really wrote the song herself/himself,ed Sheeran too is another legit artist who really write his own song, unless you're in a band or Bruno mars or ed Sheeran, there's always a doubt if she/he really wrote the song if you're a solo artist, because most of the time they just pay to get those good song, which is a good business for the song writers and I'm sure there's many of them, that how Bruno mars started by the way
my three words: philosophy, humor, truth, connection, deep, multi-layered, effort, quality, principle, realness, humanity, expression, health, self awareness, humility...I forgot the third one
what a good video ahahah
but i'm dizzy now ahahah. ps: I'm german
this was such a fun video to watch and equally as informational! Thanks ou for this great content
I hope you've learnt about time signatures since you made this video. What a mess.
I wonder why you wondered about the beat in the chorus. It’s a super common/cliché beat trough out 60s soul, pop & rock music. It’s synonymous with this era. …(and much less of a punk beat in my opinion).
You forgot to mention that this song also has one of the most perfect (flute) solos in history of pop. It’s a hit in it self! No, really, I bow my head. This tune is near flawless.
Taylor’s one note melodies have confounded me years. Every time I’m in an uber and a song of hers comes on I have to wonder what happened to pop music melodies. Looking back even Backstreet Boys did it better. Welcome to New York is a prime example of rhythm, lyrics and melody seemingly generated by Frankenstein’s monster.
listen to this advice if you want to make popular but boring music for people who don't really care about it. If you want to make good music and be creative, stay far away from this sort of advice. You might not make as much money, but your music will be much better.
Not bad
When you say bars if I writing lyrics is that how many lines
Kurt Cobain didn't sing out of tune
you steal your song ideas from Amazon books you never read? serious?
Bit of a diss to producers and instrumentalists
You talk about Radiohead as if they are only concerned with rather than writing because they love music. They change style constantly because creativity is more important to them than popularity. Nice surface level analysis.
pls put a heavy compressor on your video audio
